Replying to messages

When replying to a message please ensure that the subject line remains unchanged.

If you want to introduce a new subject but simply reply to the message and change the subject line, this can have undesirable outcomes in some email clients (eg gmail). Some email clients group conversations (or "threads") together in one bundle and changing the subject line will affect the way that mail program sorts those conversations.

If you are starting a new topic, please post a new message with a new subject line.

If you prefer to include a portion of what was written by the original poster, open a post (email), read the message and click on the reply button.

Begin your reply then delete all the parts of the original message that aren't relevant. ie keep only the parts of the original message that are needed for your reply to make sense to other list members.
