Social & Community Gatherings
The Brogo Fire Brigade provides a means for Community gatherings. We don't have a Shop, a Pub or Club, no Tennis Courts or Footy Team.
All we have is us.
We have a Social Night every 2nd Friday of the month at the Fire Station called our "beer & chat" nights. Here we gather informally from about 6-6.30pm, bring our own drinks and nibbles and generally meet our neighbours.
We quite often have a New Years Eve gathering at Brogo Dam, we had a Garage Sale this year (2007) where we raised $1300 for the Brigade (pictures below), we had an open day in September 2007 where the public were invited to check out our facilities and generally the Community looks after us and we look after the Community when they need us.
And don't forget, every single thing the Brigade does is all done by 100% Volunteers. We get some funding from the Government and Bega Valley Shire, and we rely on donations from the public to allow us to purchase much of our personal safety equipment.
If you wish to make a donation to assist the Brigade, contact our Treasurer Warren Davis on 6492 7155 or the Secretary David Ubrihien on 6492 7259
Xmas in July Party 11th July 2008
We had a great night with about 50 people attending.
Thank You to everybody who supported us - we raised $1000.00 for the Brigade on the night and a good time was had by all.
The Brigade wishes to thank Brad & Diedrie Smith who did the catering on the night.
2007 Christmas Party
The Brogo Rural Fire Brigade had their Annual Christmas and Fundraising
dinner on Friday 14 December 2007 at the Brogo Fire Shed, Warrigal Range
Road.
A large crowd was in attendance and a good time was had by all.
Thanks to the generosity of our local residents, we raised approximately
$1,900 on the night.
Our thanks go to all who attended and those who supported us, and a special
thanks from everyone to Diedrie & Brad Smith who did the catering, and who
donated all the proceeds from the catering to the Brigade.
