Bridge House Nursery
Bridge House Nursery is situated halfway between Bega and Cobargo 'where the Princes Highway crosses the Brogo River'. The house and nursery overlook the Brogo River with stunning views of Mumbulla Mountain.
The Bridge House was built in 1885 as the Brogo Hotel and coaching station, with the Nursery Shop in the original coaching stables.
Don and Fiona started Bridge House Nursery in 1986 and have developed a thriving business retailing and wholesaling a wide variety of plants including 'hard to get' and unusual species.
Don has a very extensive knowledge of plants and allied subjects and a degree in Forestry. His unique personality makes him an 'interesting character' in Brogo.
Steven Lloyd, a full time employee, has a Diploma of Horticulture and a particular love and knowlege of rose cultivation and rose varieties.
Bridge House Nursery is a major supplier of local native tree and shrub species to local government and landcare groups. According to many of our customers we have the largest collection of deciduous plants available anywhere in NSW each winter.
